Members of Weston Hospicecare’s Burnham-On-Sea Friends Group have held a series of successful open gardens in the town, raising hundreds of pounds for the hospice.
With kind permission of well-known Burnham couple Dorothy and Cedric May, the event was well attended, boosted by some great summer weather, and raised £288.15 for Weston Hospicecare.
Earlier in the summer, Jacqui Strong opened her beautiful garden in aid of WHC, and although the weather was not as kind, a total of £75 was raised.
On Sunday 21st July the last in the series of local open gardens for 2019 will be held when Jeanne and Peter Gilraine and five of their wonderful neighbours will open their gardens to raise much-needed funds for the hospice.
The garden trail will start at 43 Golf Links Road TA8 2PP, there will be a map provided, also there will be delicious cakes and teas, plus a plant sale and raffle. The gardens will be open from 2-5pm.
