A 10 year-old boy who interviewed Boris Johnson during his visit to Highbridge’s King Alfred School Academy on Friday has become a social media sensation.
Young Elijah Maxwell asked the Conservative leadership front-runner several questions, including how to deal with seagulls, and the video footage that was posted on Twitter has been viewed 300,000 times!
It captures the moment that Elijah asks Boris whether he could help reduce local seagull problems in Somerset – and Mr Johnson proposes a novel, tongue-in-cheek method to humanely deal with the birds.
Neville Coles, Executive Principal at the Priory Learning Trust, which runs the school, added: “We were delighted to welcome Boris to our Trust and to our academy at TKASA. He was charming and generous with his time. A three hour visit!”
