Final call for nominations for Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Civic Awards

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council is inviting nominations for the towns’ annual Civic Awards.

The awards are handed to local people who have ‘demonstrated outstanding service to the community, made a significant contribution to public life in Burnham or Highbridge and have shown real dedication in helping local residents’.

“The Awards will be presented by the Mayor, Cllr Andy Brewer, and the guest of honour at the annual Civic Service on Sunday 8th September 2019 at St Andrew’s Church in Burnham,” said Town Clerk Sam Winter.

Nominees for Civic Awards must:

  • Have provided services of an exceptional nature for a significant period of time; and
  • Have provided services which have been of benefit to people within the parish; and
  • Not be nominated for providing a service which constitutes their usual activity as a business.

Nominations need to be made in writing to the Town Council via e-mail at admin@burnham-highbridge-tc.gov.uk or by post to The Old Courthouse, Jaycroft Road, Burnham-on-Sea, TA8 1LE.

The closing date for nominations is Friday 9th August 2019.
