The manager of Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre has announced she is stepping down from her role this week.

Sam Nicol has confirmed she is set to leave this Friday (June 21st), having run the theatre in Burnham’s Princess Street since 2014.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Sam said: “I have had a fantastic five years at The Princess. Craig, Jessie and the amazing team of volunteers have been brilliant and a privilege to work with, and I have built relationships throughout the entertainment industry, both locally and nationally.”

“It has been great to see so many individuals and groups access performing, crafting and fine arts, attend events and get to watch such a variety of performances. I shall miss everyone, but look forward to my next challenge.”

The theatre is owned by Burnham and Highbridge Town Council, and Town Clerk Sam Winter said: “Sam Nicol leaves the Princess Theatre & Arts Centre this week and we wish her well for the future.”

“The Town Council will shortly advertise for a positive, customer-focussed yet business-minded and enthusiastic member of staff to join the Town Council team based at The Princess.”
