Crowds headed to Brent Knoll on Saturday afternoon (June 8th) for the village’s annual summer fete.
Alongside stalls and games, there was entertainment from the Brent Knoll School country dancers and the Chalice Morris Men.
The event was officially opened at 2pm by Rev Kevin Wright, the new vicar for the three parishes of East Brent, Bent Knoll and Lympsham.
John Page, Chairman of the Village Fete Committee, added: “The theme this year was ‘circus’, which gave everyone a lot of scope for dressing up and we were not disappointed.”
“There were plenty of activities for all ages, including a visit from the U3A Ukelele band, plus the delightful Brent Knoll School dancers and the Chalice Morris Men.”
There were also cakes, a barbecue, cider, a Pimms stall, books, flowers, plants and a tombola plus raffles.
The popular, long-running annual event is expected to have raised hundreds for local good causes in the Brent Knoll area.
