Burnham-On-Sea branch of Fibromyalgia Heart of Somerset offers support and help

-

Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day has been marked in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

Burnham-On-Sea’s branch of Fibromyalgia Heart of Somerset Support Group meets every Monday from 12.30pm-3pm at the Baptist Church in College Street, Burnham.

“We provide support for people with Fibro/ME/CFS as well as their carers and family members,” says the group’s Sam Merries during an open day this week.

“We are a very active and positive group affiliated with FMA UK, we meet weekly to provide emotional as well as symptomatic support.”

“We have regular speakers, embracing both conventional and non conventional medicine.”

“We have a weekly swimming /hydro session with Nuffield health in Weston Super Mare which is funded by group.”

“We are very active socially as people with Fibro/ME/CFS can feel isolated and also have a very informal monthly coffee and chat session.”
