Police appeal for witnesses to come forward following fatal A370 crash

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a woman in her 40s died after a collision on the A370 between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston on Monday (May 13th).

Police are asking for any witnesses to contact 101 to help with the investigation into the tragic incident.

A lorry and a car collided at the junction with Ferry Lane, near to the Hobbs Boat Inn, at 5.30pm.

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called to reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A370, at its junction with Ferry Lane, near to the Hobbs Boat Inn at about 5.30pm.”

“A car was in collision with a lorry. The occupant of the car was seriously injured and sadly died shortly afterwards.”

“The A370 was closed until 7am on Tuesday morning to enable collision investigators to examine the scene.”
