Burnham-On-Sea’s Visitor Information Centre appeals for more volunteers

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Visitor Information Centre is looking for volunteers to assist covering shifts during the main season, which runs up to and including Carnival Weekend in November.

The seafront Information Centre is open seven days a week from 10am until 4pm, and shifts are worked in two-hour slots.  The majority of shifts available will be from 2 to 4pm, with occasional cover required for 10am to midday and midday to 2pm slots to cover holidays and sickness.

The role involves providing information to visitors and locals alike on local accommodation, attractions, places to eat, days out, bus timetables and other general information on the town and surrounding areas.

Whilst knowledge of the local area would be advantageous, there will always be two people working per shift.  Most importantly, you need to be of smart appearance, personable, and enjoy talking to people.

Shifts are available immediately. If you would like any further information, please contact Ian Jefferies, Manager, direct on 07903 463700 or email ianfromburnham@gmail.com
