A spell of strong winds is expected to sweep through the Burnham-On-Sea area today (Saturday) bringing a risk of disruption to travel.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for high winds, from 9pm last night (Friday) until 3pm today (Saturday), saying gusts of up to 70mph could affect our area from Storm Hannah.
“Strong winds will push in from west to east across parts of southwest England late Friday,” says a Met Office spokesman.
“Gusts of 60-70 mph are likely around exposed coasts of southwest England, whilst gusts of 45-55 mph are likely across more inland parts of central and southern England on Saturday.”
