Burnham-On-Sea Easter shop windows competition gets underway

-

Eagle-eyed Burnham-On-Sea shoppers are able to win £100 over Easter by taking part in a fun competition to find unusual items hidden in shop windows across the town centre.

Organised by Burnham’s Chamber Of Trade, the annual competition to ‘spot the odd item in the shop window’ launched on Saturday April 6th and runs until April 22nd.

A total of 35 town centre businesses have put items that they don’t usually sell in their windows or on their websites for the public to find. Entry is free and the first prize is £100 cash with runners-up vouchers.

Entry forms are available from Burnham’s Tourist Information Centre on the seafront, Sea Breeze at 37 Victoria Street and participating shops.

Once completed, entries can be dropped off at the Tourist Information Centre or Sea Breeze by close of business on 22nd April.

Thousands of copies have been distributed by the Chamber to local schools across the area before they started the Easter holidays in a bid to encourage more families into the town centre.

A Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “This free competition is now in its 12th year and is always a lot of fun, attracting extra people into our town centre over the holidays.”

“The Chamber believes Burnham has a great range of independent shops and with generous prizes on offer, we hope as many people will enter as possible and come into the town centre.”
