The owner of a dog which was attacked by an English Bull Terrier at the weekend says her pet is starting to recover after the ‘savage’ incident.
As Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here, the attack took place near St Andrew’s Church on Saturday (March 23rd) when the pet owner was walking her Cocker Spaniel on a lead.
The terrier clamped onto her Cocker Spaniel’s leg and it took three people, and the owner who eventually turned up, to prise the dog’s jaw off and free the highly distressed animal.
On Monday, the anonymous owner told Burnham-On-Sea.com “Our dog is recovering, although it’s too early to know if there is long-term damage.”
“She is very frightened still and can’t be left for a second, not even in the next room. She was never like this before. She’s the most gentle and friendly dog, who doesn’t even bark.”
