This whale-shaped Airbus BelugaXL aeroplane made a fly over the West Country on Thursday, travelling close to Burnham-On-Sea on its flight to Bristol Airport.
The distinctive aircraft, shaped like a beluga whale, flew over the region as part of its maiden UK flight.
The massive transporter flew from the Airbus headquarters in Toulouse in France before heading across to the UK and into the West Country.
It flew over the Bristol Channel, and was spotted near Burnham-On-Sea and Brean before travelling over Weston to Bristol.
The giant aircraft flew over Filton, where Airbus has a factory, as well as over Bristol Airport and the Severn Bridge.
The aircraft is the first of five planes that will eventually replace the current fleet of standard Beluga transporters. It’s due to enter full service later in 2019.
