Students at Highbridge’s King Alfred School Academy are holding a week of fundraising for two good causes this week.
The school’s annual Rag Week, which runs from February 11th-15th, will see fun events being held in aid of Weston Hospicecare and Love Musgrove.
Kelly Criddle, one of the organisers, said they include ‘soak a teacher’, a sixth form versus staff football match, a variety show, a bushtucker trial, egg roulette, apple bobbing, dodgeball, teacher waxing, and hockey.
“It will be a week of events raising money and awareness for two charities close to our hearts,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
There will also be a raffle, with tickets on sale at the school and at Gardiner-Whites in Burnham High Street.
Prizes have been donated by local businesses and the students are pictured below with several of the items up for grabs. Burnham-On-Sea.com
A fundraising walk will also be held from the school into Burnham-On-Sea town centre on Friday in fancy dress when local residents are being encouraged to give donations.
