Former Burnham-On-Sea cafe transformed into hair and beauty salon

A former Burnham-On-Sea cafe is getting a new lease of life as a hairdressing salon and beauty therapy centre.

Prim N Proper is moving from its current premises in Oxford Street into the former Calm Cafe building at 62 High Street this month.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, owner Sarah Glaysher said: “We are moving into this bigger premises as we have outgrown where we are.”

“We will be offering more treatments, including specialist massages, and hope to introduce some other alternative therapies later in the year.”

“We will be expanding our team and are looking for a stylist and somebody that offers alternative therapies.”

Renovation has been carried out by Glaysher’s Landscaping and the premises has a fresh modern new look.

A grand opening will be held at 2pm on Sunday 17th February when everyone will be welcome.

A Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade spokesman said: “We are delighted that this vacant town centre premises is becoming the new home to a superb local growing company.”

“The new store will be another great reason to visit Burnham-On-Sea town centre, which has a great range of independent shops and businesses.”
