A brand new third food festival is to be held in Burnham-On-Sea this year, the team behind the events has announced this week.
The two ‘Eat’-branded festivals will be held in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday 25th May and Saturday 26th October.
A brand new festive event to be called eat:Christmas will also be held in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday 7th December. It will focus on festive-themed food and drink products.
Co-organiser Bev Milner Simonds said: “After a busy and successful 2018, the eat:Festivals team are turning their attention to their packed calendar of Festivals in 2019.”
The team’s first local festival of the year will be ‘eat:Vegan’ on Saturday 26th January in Weston-super-Mare.
“eat:Vegan is the first 100% vegan and indoor event we have created and we are approaching this as an awesome food and drink festival, that happens to be vegan.”
“We are using the magnificent seaside retro splendour of the Winter Gardens Pavilion to host our gastronomic adventure in all things plant based. Visitors should expect over 60 local and regional food and drink producers along a host of other free activities.”

2018 saw the team win ten awards from the National Outdoor Events Association; Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards; Somerset Business Awards; including the coveted titles of Best Farmers’ Market at Western Daily Press Food and Farming Awards and Best Food Market in the Great British Market Awards.
