Burnham-On-Sea wildlife carers issue appeal after buzzard is found shot

-

Burnham-On-Sea wildlife carers are this week caring for this buzzard that has been found injured after being shot.

The team at Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre in East Huntspill have this week appealed for help to find the person who injured the bird.

“It’s a happy new year for most, but not this buzzard who has been shot,” said a spokeswoman. “We have him under our care and will be monitoring him closely.”

“He was found at Old Wells Road near the crematorium in Shepton Mallet and was brought to Secret World in East Huntspill for treatment.”

“The shooting has been reported to the Police and anyone with information should call 101 and quote the crime reference number 810.1.1.2019.”
