Christmas cards designed by pupils at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Joseph’s RC Primary School have been sent to hundreds of Brunelcare’s clients who receive their homecare and support.
Every year the children design Christmas cards that are printed and sold to parents and family. This year, four card designs were chosen by Brunelcare to send to their clients.
Adding to the excitement of having their card designs selected, the four pupils were awarded framed copies of their prints this week at school assembly by Brunelcare’s Operations Manager, Rebecca Franklin.
Rebecca told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I approached the school with the idea of running a Christmas card competition on behalf of Brunelcare.”
“We wanted to do something different for our homecare clients this year – who we know will appreciate this special message from the children this year, making our clients feel part of their local community.”
School Head Mark Lawrence said: “How exciting for these four children to have their designs printed and sent on so many cards.”
“It was great fun for all the children to take part in this festive art project and learn something about Brunelcare, a charity that is doing important work caring for people in our local area.”
Brunelcare is a Bristol based charity which has been providing housing, care and support for older people in the South West for over 75 years.
It does this through sheltered housing schemes, specialist care homes and in the community in people’s own homes.
