A Burnham-On-Sea motorist has expressed his shock at seeing a Hermes delivery driver ‘hurling’ parcels into the back of a delivery lorry.
David Whatley shot this video in Highbridge’s Market Street on Monday afternoon (December 17th) which he says shows the driver taking little care in moving Christmas packages into the back of the truck.
The firm has previously been criticised in the national media for ‘careless deliveries’ and David says the video is a further example of this, saying the driver had “no consideration for what’s in there.”
David’s video was posted on Facebook and by Tuesday evening had been viewed over 15,000 times. It has also been featured in the national press.
A spokesman for Hermes said: “We will speak to the driver involved.”
