Friends of Burnham-On-Sea War Memorial Hospital receives £750 boost from model rail group

-

The Friends of Burnham-On-Sea War Memorial Hospital have this week received a £750 boost from the Bristol and Somerset Branch of the Hornby Railway Collectors Association.

It follows last month’s successful 10th annual Vintage Hornby Train Show which was organised by the association at King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge.

The presentation took place at Burnham’s War Memorial Hospital in Love Lane on Monday (17th December), as pictured here.

Group Chairman Steve Sands said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Friends in this way, and grateful for the assistance that some of their members gave us in the preparation and putting away before and after the exhibition. The Friends is a most worthwhile local charity supporting our local hospital.”

The model rail show was hailed a success by organisers, as we reported here.
