A town councillor has called for more to be done to tidy up a prominent ‘eyesore’ in Highbridge.
Rubbish has been fly-tipped and wooden hoardings have been vandalised at the Canal House development site, situated next to Highbridge’s main Church Street roundabout.
Cllr John Parkes says more needs to be done to clean up the site while plans for a block of flats at the site continue to progress through the planning process.
A spokesperson for Property Link Consultants told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were initially instructed to sell the site and the purchasers then instructed us planning consultants, we are not instructed in respect of on-going management.”
“The owner of the site has been very ill and has spent some months having treatment. I have asked if he can arrange for the hoardings to be repaired.”
