30 volunteers join Brean beach clean and help turn rubbish into environmental art

-

Over 30 volunteers took part in a Brean beach clean when families had an an opportunity to create environmental art from collected rubbish.

The ‘Beach Clean and Create’ event was held on the beach next to Brean Down from 2pm-4pm.

Over 30 volunteers spent the afternoon with Tilda Gibbs from Somerset Wildlife Trust, helping to make the beach a safer haven for wildlife and a more beautiful place for visitors by cleaning it.

On completion of the beach clean, families had an opportunity to create environmental art on the beach or return to upstairs of The Cove Café to create a Christmas decoration made out of natural scavenged beach treasures!
