Trinity Close Christmas lights display in Burnham-On-Sea is impressing visitors with a stunning display that aims to raise festive cheer and charity funds.

The cul-de-sac’s annual display of over 100,000 twinkling Christmas lights has been dubbed ‘Britain’s most festive street’.

Residents taking part in the Trinity Close Christmas lights display switched on their illuminations on Saturday night (December 1st) which runs for five weeks.

The display is lit each night from 4.30pm-10pm until early January, raising money for local charities.

Last Christmas, the five-week display in Trinity Close attracted crowds of visitors who generously dug deep to raise a record sum of £10,427 shared between BARB, which operates Burnham’s rescue hovercrafts, and PETAL: The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust. BARB will benefit this Christmas.

They have again decorated their homes top-to-bottom with colourful lights, and this year’s display includes several new illuminations.

Visitors are being encouraged to make donations in a number of collection boxes located around the homes. Also, visitors are being asked not to come by car and to be courteous to other residents in neighbouring streets.
