Police are investigating the cause of a late night crash in Burnham-On-Sea which left a car on its side in a ditch.
Police and fire crews were called to Poples Bow at 11.45pm on Friday (November 2nd) where the vehicle had left the road before the railway bridge, as pictured here.
“Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and one rescue tender from Glastonbury Fire Station were mobilised following a call requesting our attendance,” said a fire spokesman.
“This was a one vehicle road traffic collision where a car had left the carriageway and come to rest on its side in a ditch.”
“At the time of call there was believed to be persons trapped inside. Shortly after arriving and assessing the scene, crews confirmed there were no persons trapped in the vehicle.”
“Crews made the area safe and handed the incident over to the Police for further investigations.”
