Vandals strike two Burnham-On-Sea shops

Two popular Burnham-On-Sea retailers are counting the cost of crime after drunk Christmas revellers broke the front windows of their premises.

The town’s fishmonger, Sea Foods Fresh Fish, at 42 The High Street was targeted by vandals at around 3am on Christmas Eve.

A spokesman for the shop said the cost of replacing the glass – a large window pane – would be close to £2,000.

Dragon Rise restaurant after the attack by vandalsIt comes just days after a similar attack on the seafront’s Dragon Rise Chinese takeaway in which youths again smashed the front window of the shop, as shown in our photograph.

In both cases, Burnham-On-Sea police are studying footage from the town’s crime cameras in a bid to trace the vandals.
