Two High Street shops become victims of vandals in Burnham-On-Sea

Vandals caused more than £1,000 worth of damage by smashing the windows of two High Street shops in Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.

A front window at the Pet Shop was smashed and in a second attack a large pane of glass at Tickle Your Taste Buds was broken during the early hours of Saturday November 26th.

An eyewitness in the High Street claimed to have seen a group of youths in the area at around 12.45am, the time of the incidents.

Joan White, owner of Tickle Your Taste Buds, told Burnham-On-Sea.com she was “incredibly annoyed” by the vanadalism, which meant she was unable to open for business on Saturday. Lost income and the cost of repairs will be £1,000.

Anyone with further information should contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You do not have to give your name and could receive a reward.
