Berrow Parish Council has spoken out this week amid concerns that a public footpath across the golf course could be closed.
“Burnham and Berrow Golf Club are not closing the two public footpaths to the beach,” Barry Kew, Parish Council Chairman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“They want to restrict the times that Berrow residents walk on the course, not just dog walkers and this is off the two footpaths onto the course, not across them.”
Responding to concerns that the proposals have not been publicised, he added: “It is not secret – it has been on more than one publicy displayed agenda and minutes. All residents have had some information in our quarterly Newsletter.”
