Burnham-On-Sea Seaside Fun Day 2004

Burnham-On-Sea's popular annual Seaside Fun Day was held on Burnham Beach and Esplanade on Friday 6th August 2004.

During the day there were competitions and games for children, including a treasure hunt and sand castle building contest.

There was also street entertainment and music from the Chucklefoot one man band, plus live music from the Burnham and Highbridge Band.

A street and craft market was held along the Esplanade during the day with stalls selling hundreds of items from crafts to souveniers.

There were also photo opportunities for visitors who wanted to pose in traditional seaside cut outs!

Children were also able to meet animals from Highbridge's Secret World Wildlife Rescue Centre.

Competition winners:

The sandcastle competition was won by team no 11, called 'JJs'. Second prize went to team no 8, 'The Beach Girls', and third went to team no 17, 'The Beardsmore Builders'. The Sedgemoor Leisure Word Search was won by Tom Longford and the Seaside Fun Day Family Quiz was won by Amber Hooper. Congrats to all!
