RNLI staff interviewed over careless parking story

Burnham-On-Sea RNLI's staff have been interviewed by numerous newspaper, radio and TV stations after the town's lifeboat was prevented from returning to its station by motorists' careless parking in the road outside the station.

The lifeboat's trailer became stuck when it was unable to be moved between a carelessly parked trade van and a saloon car without causing damage, as reported here.

The carelessly parked saloon carMartin Cox, Lifeboat Operations Manager, is shown at the top of this page being interviewed by BBC TV's "Points West" programme, while Mike Lang, Burnham-On-Sea RNLI's Press Officer, is photographed on the right being interviewed by BBC Radio Bristol.

Articles appeared in the Western Daily Press, Burnham and Highbridge Weekly News and Burnham and Highbridge Times while the town's RNLI staff were also heard on radio stations including Orchard FM, Star FM, BCR and BBC Radio Bristol.
