Marathon
runner raises £5,800 for Burnham lifeboat station
Fiddington
resident Belinda Llewelyn-Jones has just handed over a total of
£5,800 to Burnham-On-Sea RNLI Lifeboat station after completing
the London Marathon in five hours and three minutes.
Belinda, who served in the merchant Navy for four years as
a catering officer, raised approximately half the money online
and the rest from direct sponsorship donations.
Belinda,
whos husband is a captain in the merchant navy, said: "The
first 20 miles of the run were fine, but the last six were extremely
hard."
Lifeboat
Operations manager Ricky Holmes added: "The money will be
used to support Burnham Lifeboat station. We thank you for this
gift."
