Over 30 farmers from across the Burnham-On-Sea area headed out on a fundraising tractor run in aid of a local community group this month.

The tractors headed off in convoy across the Somerset Levels, raising nearly £400 for Music for the Memory, an independent support group based in Burnham-On-Sea with more than 60 members.

The group enables people living with Dementia or memory loss to meet in a relaxed, non-medical environment, to perform a variety of musical based activities.

“The tractors gathered at the 37 Club in Puriton and set off on a route across the beautiful Somerset levels,” the group’s spokeswoman Julie Skinner told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We thank Sedgemoor Vintage Club for all their support.”

“Events like this allow us to use all the money raised for the benefit of our members.”
