Burnham-On-Sea's Marine Cove gardens hosted a fun-filled Teddy Bear's Picnic for families on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Friends of Marine Cove organised the free event alongside Sedgemoor District Council, with over 100 people attending.

Music was provided by members of King Alfred School Band and there will also be many children's games and activities.

"It was a wonderul event that was blessed with great weather," Sedgemoor spokeswoman Julie Cooper told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The children took part in a Teddy Bear Hunt and then joined in with games, fun, music and activities, and art competition and story-telling.

The prize for the best-dressed bear at the picnic went to Lilly, pictured with Mayor Bill Hancock below, while Francesca won the art competition and is pictured above with Town Crier Alastair Murray.

A bear hunt around the gardens proved popular with the children
