Secret World Wildlife Rescue near Burnham-On-Sea.
World was alerted to the plight of the bird after a member of the

charity found a large lump in the swans throat that was preventing
it from swallowing food. The lump, which was a mix of mud and grass,
was successfully removed by animal carers.
Benfield, Head of Animal Care at Secret World, said: "Without
the intervention from the member of the public and by our animal
care team, this swan would have simply starved."
swan will be kept under the care of Secret World staff until it
is ready to be released back at Portishead Nature Reserve where
it was found.
