Burnham-On-Sea community groups have been handed a cash boost of £10,577 thanks to fundraisers at the town’s Moose Lodge and Burnham-On-Sea Ladies Circle.

At a special presentation in Berrow Village Hall, a huge £7,462 was donated by the Moose brothers and Ladies group to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Others benefitting included Burnham and Highbridge Gateway Group (£150), Friends of Future 4 Huntspill (£150), Churchfields School Musical project (£150), Cots for Tots (£1,000), Weston Hospital Scanner Appeal (£1,665).

Money is raised from fundraising events, donations and motorway collections through the year.

The presentation evening was followed by a buffet supper, catered for by the Ladies Circle catering team.
