Burnham-On-Sea motorists warned to take care after weekend snow

-

Motorists and walkers have been warned to extra care on icy roads and pavements this evening (Monday).

While most of the snow in the Burnham area melted away during Monday, a Met Office yellow weather warning for ice is in place tonight into the early hours of Tuesday March 20th.

A Met Office spokesman said that ice will form untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths. “This increases the risk of accidents, as well as injuries due to falls.”

Burnham-On-Sea Police have also urged motorists to take extra care to reduce the risk of accidents.
