The funeral of Dean Tate is set to take place today (Friday May 11th).

Mourners for the man, who was missing for almost two months, will gather at 5pm at Sedgemoor Crematorium.

Police confirmed that a body, believed to be that of Mr Tate, was found washed up on Stert Island opposite Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday, April 21st, as we reported here.

The 40-year-old had gone missing after visiting a pub in Burnham-On-Sea town centre on February 23rd.

His fiancée, Sarah Reeves, says that the funeral will be open to anyone that wants to attend.

She said: “Because of all the support we have had and to show Dean how much he is loved, anyone wanting to come is welcome.”

She asks that those wishing to attend get in touch to inform her.
