Brave teacher goes in the stocks at East Huntspill summer fair!

Residents in East Huntspill enjoyed a day of brilliant sunshine during their Village Fair on Saturday (June 30th)... but one person got a good soaking!

Village school teacher Louise Skinner was among several brave fundraisers who offered to go in the stocks to help boost school funds, by having wet sponges thrown at them!

The event, organised by the PTA and East Huntspill Church, was set up on East Huntspill Playing Field and attracted a good turnout.

Children from the village performed and there were also displays by the youngsters from Burnham-On-Sea's Dancefit Academy.

Burnham's BARB Search & Rescue and Secretworld were also on hand with displays during the day. Families were also able to enjoy donkey rides, a bouncy castle, a barbecue and ice creams, raising money for the village school.

One of the organisers, Claire Moxley, told Burnham-On-Sea.com it had been a "very successful day" and she thanked all who had taken part.
