Burnham-On-Sea crews called out in concern for dog owners
for the welfare of a dog's owners led to a call for Burnham-On-Sea
Coastguards and lifeboats on Sunday morning (April 8th).
Coastguard team was paged at 10.48am when a dog was seen in the
sea by a seafront walker with no owners initially visible at the
southern end of the beach, opposite Quantock Court.

to retrieve the dog or had fallen and the dog had followed,"
said a Burnham Coastguard spokesman.
Lifeboats were already out on their training exercise and diverted
along to the south beach towards the Yacht Club to check the situation."
