Police appeal for witnesses after assault in Burnham-On-Sea

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward following an alleged assault in Burnham-On-Sea.

Police sealed off part of the town’s College Street on Monday (September 10th) as they launched an investigation into an overnight assault that left a man with head injuries.

A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were called at about 11.30pm on Sunday to College Street. Two men were approached by a group of men who demanded money. One victim was attacked, resulting in them needing hospital treatment for a head injury.”

An area of College Street was taped off by Burnham Police opposite Abbott and Frost estate agents, as pictured, as evidence was gathered on the attack.
