‘Give singing a try’ says Burnham and Highbridge Choral Society

-

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Choral Society is inviting residents to give singing a try this autumn.

The group is holding its first rehearsal of the new season in Burnham-On-Sea Methodist Church Hall in College Street on Thursday 6th September at 7.30pm when all will be welcome.

“People often ask if they need to be able to read music. The answer to this is that you may find it easier if you do but there are many in the choir who don’t,” said the group’s Julie Skinner.

“We do everything we can to help you learn the music, including providing learning CDs, and suggesting links where there are learning files. Sometimes it is a challenge but everything that is worthwhile usually is.”

“Our biggest asset is our talented and enthusiastic Musical Director, Nicholas Bromilow.”

“This Autumn we will be learning music for our Christmas Concert on 13th December. If singing beautiful, but serious, music sounds appealing why not come along to our first practice on 6th September.”
