A Burnham-On-Sea pensioner has celebrated her 102nd birthday with family and the town’s Mayor, Mayoress and Town Crier.

Lillian Fobbs marked the milestone with a party at Hillview Care Home in Berrow Road on Tuesday (March 27th).

Julie White, manager at Hillview, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “She’s a wonderful lady – always very happy, with a good sense of humour.”

“She certainly doesn’t look 102 years-old and always enjoys visits from her brother and sister-in-law.”

Lillian moved to the Burnham-On-Sea care home in May 2017 to be nearer her family after living in Wedmore, Bristol and London.

Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Mayor Bill Hancock told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “She’s an extraordinary lady whom we very much enjoyed meeting on her special day. We wished her a happy birthday, met her family and enjoyed hearing about her history.”
