Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Beer and Music Festival has been hailed another huge success with a record number of people attending the festival over the course of four days of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Now in its 8th year, the festival at The Ritz Social Club is now an established part of the events calendar in Burnham-On-Sea and this year the quality of the entertainment and the number of beers featured at the event was even better.

Paul Hale, General Manger at the Ritz, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The weather this year really bought people out into the town and the feedback from the people attending the event was really encouraging.”

“We had over 50 musicians play the Ritz stage over the four day event, two bands in particular really excited the crowd – Drop the mic who did two sets and The Jury who performed on the Sunday night.”

“All of the staff and committee at The Ritz really got behind the festival and that’s what makes it such a great event.”

“We already have made plans for next year’s festival to ensure it continues its success in Burnham-On-Sea. We would like to thank everyone that attended.”

David Roseff, festival Chairman, added: “It was an extremely good weekend – we had 17 beers and three ciders on offer accompanied by some great local music.”

“We had a couple of thousand people through the doors over the whole weekend – and everyone was good natured.”

“The winning beer of the festival, voted by visitors, was Night Train from Yeovil Ales for a second year and second place went to Thunder Bird from Glamorgan Brewery. Congratulations to Chris Garland who was the winner of the draw and collects a £30 Ritz Voucher.”
