Volunteers are being sought to join the Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Beach’s latest beach clean this Saturday (March 17th).

It will run from 10am-12 mid-day, with volunteers meeting at the entrance to the River Brue by Burnham Sailing Club on the South Esplanade.

Organiser Mark Hollidge told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Join the Friends of Burnham Beach as we tackle the rubbish on the banks of the River Brue and southern end of Burnham beach.”

“We have an experienced crew of willing workers but we are always looking to recruit people for the first time.”

“We meet up at the entrance to the Sailing Club on The Esplanade, at the end of the sea wall, at 10am prompt.”

“Please bring footwear appropriate for muddy conditions – all equipment is supplied. All children must be 5 years or above and accompanied by an adult at all times.”

The Friends of Burnham Beach was started in September 2016.
