Burnham-On-Sea’s BAY Centre gets £6,000 overhaul with new flooring

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s BAY Centre building has been given a £6,000 boost with the much-needed replacement of its flooring.

The centre in Cassis Close has replaced its flooring which was showing its age after being in place for more than five decades.

“The old flooring had been in place for 53 years and was splintered, coming apart and in a very poor condition,” Jan Bonus, the centre’s secretary, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The full cost of the work is £6,000 but we received a kind grant of £3,000 from Somerset Community Foundation which was a big help towards the project.”

“We would like to thank everyone involved in the project, including moving furniture. They include AA Floors of Weston and Paul Case for his work in maiing alterations to doors.”

The flooring has been replaced with a new modern look in both the main hall and the cafe areas, as pictured here.
