Burnham-On-Sea fire crew rescues nine week-old baby trapped in car

Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescued a baby stranded in a locked car at Sedgemoor Services on Thursday.

Crews were called to the southbound M5 services at 4.20pm where the infant was stuck in a Vauxhall Astra.

“A fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea was mobilised following a call from the father of a nine week-old baby that had been accidentally been locked the car after the keys were left in the ignition,” explained a spokesman.

“Our crew arrived on scene at 4.36pm and by 4.45pm had gained entry to the vehicle using small tools.”

“The baby was reunited, unharmed, with their father.”
