appeal after Burnham-On-Sea mobility scooter driver dies
have appealed for witnesses to come forward following a fatal collision
between a mobility scooter and a 4x4 in Burnham-On-Sea's Adam Street
on Thursday (March 8th).
services were called to Adam Street at just before 11.50am following
reports of the collision near the junction with Oxford Street. Police
say the man in his 80s died after being air-lifted to hospital.
Fyfe from Avon and Somerset Collision Investigation Unit said: "At
about 11.50am, a Nissan Navara was travelling along Oxford Street
and having turned into Adam Street, was in collision with the man
who was on his mobility scooter."
gentleman, in his 80s, was taken to hospital but sadly died later
that day. We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed
air ambulance landed in Burnham at the nearby St Andrew's School
to take the casualty to hospital.
