Burnham-On-Sea Wine Club is inviting residents to try a range of leading wines from across the world during a special tasting event this month.
The club will be hosting a wine tasting to celebrate sparkling wines on Sunday January 29th.
The club is a sociable way to learn more about wine, break down myths and uncover some hidden gems in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Tutor Sarah Milner Simonds said: “This afternoon tasting will be a blind tasting of exceptional sparkling wines.”
“On our journey we will learn about the production methods and the different sparkling wines from around the world including champagne, prosecco, method traditional versus charmat/tank method, cava and English sparkling wines.”
“If you would like to understood a bit more to help you get to grips with all that sniffing and swirling then come along.”
Co-organiser Beverley told said: “The Burnham Wine Club to provide informal and ad hoc tutored tasting events.”
“The group is open to all who want to enhance their appreciation of good drinks.”
She added: “You can expect high quality tutors, a great range of wines and topics in a local venue, with small enough groups that you get to learn and taste with enough room.”
“There is no membership fee and the tickets are £30 for 8 outstanding wines and local bread and cheeses.”
