Retreat Caravan Park celebrates its 70th birthday
Burnham-On-Sea caravan park celebrated its 70th anniversary with
a special celebration for guests and supporters at the weekend.
Caravan Park in Berrow Road marked its seventh decade with a unique
birthday party for hundreds of visitors.

Jackson, whose grandfather Ben Priest purchased the Retreat in 1947,
presented five special floral bouquets prepared by Burnham-On-Sea
florist Flowers and Things to the park's oldest owners who have
been with the Retreat since the early 60's.
March, the fourth generation of the family to run the Park, led
the speeches and the cutting of a unique cake before launching the
Retreat's new 70th Birthday video which re-created her childhood
memories of growing up on the Park before declaring it was time
to party to Six Machine!
were treated to a hog roast followed by queuing in the rain for
a Mr Whippy ice cream!
evening also supported Burnham's BARB Search & Rescue with a
raffle raising £550.
