Parkrun celebrates 100th run with visit by new Mayor
popular Parkrun celebrated its 100th event on Saturday (May 13th)
with a special visit from the town's new Mayor.

Bill Hancock cheered off the 300 runners alongside Town Crier Alistair
Murray, as pictured here.
Hancock told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It's great to see these weekly
runs doing so well, attracting hundreds of runners of all ages.
I congratulate the event's organisers on this super milestone."
co-directors Reg Huxtable and Stuart Anderson thanked the runners
and their team of marshalls who help to oversee the Apex Park events.

said Reg, "but we have some marvellous helpers and are delighted
to see the runs so well supported each week."
Parkruns began in 2015 and were initially funded by local councils.
All are welcome to the runs, which are held every Saturday at 9am.
