for 'missing swimmer' at Brean called off as he's found safely
Coastguards, BARB and RNLI crews were called out this morning (Wednesday)
to search for a suspected missing swimmer.
crews were paged at 7.20am after the
swimmer had been seen entering the sea on Brean beach at around
the swimmers clothes were spotted still in a pile on the beach
at 7am, Milford Haven Coastguard instigated a thorough search by
the crews were stood down at around 7.50am when the man was found
safe and well.
Helmsman Nick Edrich said: "We were tasked to search the beach
from the seawards side, from Burnham to Brean Down, whilst Burnham
and Weston coastguards and BARB liaised to locate the suspected
casualty on the beach."
