-

A Burnham-On-Sea man has thanked local residents who came to his aid when his fiancée passed out in the town on Sunday (February 19th).

Ashley Plant says he was walking along Marine Drive, pictured, on Sunday morning when Victoria become unwell.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I would like to thank all the people who stopped and offered help in Marine Drive.”

“My fiancée felt unwell whilst we took a stroll into town with our children. She stopped to rest on a bench and passed out – I called an ambulance and it took over an hour to arrive.”

“All this time my partner remained unconscious and unresponsive but obviously she was still breathing. I’m pleased to say she’s home now, recovering.”

He added: “Despite not being polite at the time, because I was going out of my mind with worry, I want to say thank you to each and everyone of the people that tried to be supportive.”
